BLOOMINGTON – The City of Bloomington’s Parks & Recreation Department is proud to play host to the City’s 4^th of July 2026 celebration in Miller Park, and other locations within the park system.

Activities on Saturday, July 4, 2026

• The Miller Park playground will be open all day.
• Miller Park Paddle Boats and Kayaks will be open from 9:00 AM-noon.
• The Miller Park splashpad will be open from 9:30 AM-8:00 PM.
• Miller Park Zoo will be open from 9:30 AM-4:30 PM, with the grounds cleared at 5:00 PM.
• Miller Park Zoo park-side concessions window will be open until 7:00 PM.
• The Putting Zoo (Miller Park miniature golf) will be open from 10:00 AM-7:00 PM.
• FREE Classic Car Cruise Celebration from 1-4:00 PM in Miller Park with live music by Jim and Tommy.
• FREE race car simulator during the Classic Car Cruise Celebration.
• FREE Family Zone with inflatables & facepainting from 5-8:00 PM.
• FREE Miller Park Bandstand concert with Biscuits N Gravy Band from 5-8:00 PM.
• The Den at Fox Creek Golf Course will host the 8^th Annual Red, White & Blue Classic, a two-person Golf Tournament starting at 8:00 AM (pre-registration is required).
• O’Neil Aquatics Center and Holiday Pool will be open from 11:00 AM-5:00 PM and will host an “All Decked Out in Red, White & Blue” event full of games and activities from noon-4:00 PM.

The Classic Car Cruise Celebration in Miller Park is a FREE, family-friendly event for all ages and takes place from 1-4:00 PM at Miller Park, located at 1020 S. Morris Ave., Bloomington, Illinois. With over 80 automobiles scheduled to showcase, the community is encouraged to view the collection of antique and classic cars, race cars, trucks, motorcycles and more! “We’re excited for yet another year of fun at Miller Park for the 4^th of July,” said Parks & Recreation Program Manager Neal McKenry, adding, “The Midstate Cruiser team always impresses with their extensive showcase of cars.” This year’s event will add a FREE racecar simulator. Miller Park will be available for picnics, and J&J Parks Concessions will be available by the Pavilion for food purchases.

Road Closures

Morris Ave. - Between Butchers Lane/Tanner St. & Miller Park Road - The City of Bloomington Parks & Recreation will close the road to maintain a safe fireworks perimeter per state law for set-up and firing of the 4^th of July fireworks presentation. The road closure will begin on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at 1:00 PM and will be reopened at approximately 11:00 PM on Saturday, July 4, 2026. “Road Closed Ahead” warning signs will also be posted at the corner of Wood St. and Morris Ave. and Six Points Rd. and Morris Ave. The entrance to Park Hill Cemetery on Miller St. will not be blocked. The entrance to Miller Park at Summit St. and W. Wood St. will not be affected.
