Shake off winter’s cabin fever spell and head out to the
Miller Park Zoo’s Animal Enrichment Day: Come Out And Play Edition!

This edition offers guests a chance to see how Zookeepers make the lives of Miller Park Zoo animals more exciting by encouraging the natural wild behavior of the creatures.

Animal Encounters:
2 snakes, chicken and tortoise (In the small classroom)

Keeper Talks and enrichment schedule
1:00  - Meerkats
1:15 - Wolves
1:30 - Snow Leopards/Tiger
2:00 - Cotton Top Tamrons
2:15 -  New Guinea Singing Dogs
2:45 - Randall Lineback/ Goats

Enrichment is the process of enriching an animal’s environment to stimulate natural behaviors such as foraging and hunting. There will be a play area indoors for  children and the Zoo Lady team will be on site for face painting fun. Also, The Children's Discovery Museum will bring a create your own playground game.  Free with Zoo admission.

To register for events call (309) 434-2260, or go to the 24-hour internet registration system and follow the directions on the start page. Use the same Client Barcode and Family PIN that you use for RecLine. If you do not have an account with us yet, phone the Recreation office at (309) 434-2260. Since all registrations must be paid for before they are completed, you will also need a valid VISA or MasterCard.
